Chief Aviation Services Flight Training
Chief Aviation Services offers quality flight training at an economical rate. We are approved by the FAA under part 61 of the Federal Aviation Regulations. We offer sport, recreational, private, and instrument training. We also offer Flight reviews; recurrent flight training, and additional endorsements. One of the unique characteristics of our dedication to the client is our willingness to travel to you. We can travel to your local airport to provide you with flight training. As of now we are based in two locations, Copiah County Airport (M11) in Hazlehurst, MS which is our headquarters and South Central Mississippi location and Cleveland Municipal Airport (RNV) in Cleveland, MS which is our North Mississippi branch. We have two aircraft available for rent and flight training.

Our instructor rates vary depending on if flight training is done in a Chief aircraft or if the client provides the aircraft.
- Instructor fee our aircraft $ 35.00/hr
- Instructor fee client provided aircraft $ 45.00/hr
As we continue to grow we plan to add more aircraft to the fleet, to include newer more advanced aircraft for the aspiring glass cockpit pilot.

Chief Aviation Maintenance
Maintenance is what keeps an airplane flying and it is important to us that you stay in the air. Our maintenance department is operated by our sister company Chief Aviation, LLC at the Copiah County Airport (M11) in Hazlehurst, MS. Our director of maintenance is Kenneth “Ken bob” Aasand. Kenneth has more than 20 years of maintenance experience and is Teledyne Continental factory trained as well as Rotax factory trained. We are proud to say that Kenneth is also a member of the Mississippi Air National Guard United States Air Force in Jackson, MS. Kenneth has been in the guard for more than 20 years and has made countless trips oversees as a loadmaster on the Boeing C-17 and a flight engineer on the Lockeed C-141. We commend Kenneth for all the hard work, dedication to his nation, and family sacrifices he has made in preserving our freedom. Kenneth brings the core values of his service with him in the general aviation world. Integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do.
